Nena Baker

Nena researched and wrote The Body Toxic after twenty years in the trenches of investigative journalism. She was first to expose the deplorable working conditions in Nike factories in Indonesia, illegal disposal of toxic wastes by jewelers, and sexual abuse by Catholic priests in Arizona. She has freelanced for SELF, Town & Country, Mademoiselle and Seventeen and the Huffington Post.

The Body Toxic won the Gold Nautilus Book Award for Conscious Media / Journalism in 2009. An important book and interview for everyone concerned about envioronmental impoacts on our health.
