GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation

This regulation takes effect May 25, 2018. It specifies three classes of users, data providers, data controllers, and data processors. With the exception of the Whole Woman Forum, we are data controllers.

Data processing is handled by a variety of vendors with whom we work who actually store data. These would include merchant transaction providers such as authorize.net, braintree.com, paypal.com. Customer relationship managers such as Infusionsoft, Kartra, and Drip, keep track of customer and prospect history, purchases, emails received, and information provided by the individuals who download our articles, newsletters, or purchase products. Shopping cart software such as Kartra, 3DCart, and Samcart process purchases and track those purchases.

The Whole Woman Forum

The Whole Woman forum captures and processes two categories of data, registration data and forum posts. A policy requirement of the Whole Woman Forum is that the username, that name with identifies the forum poster, cannot be identifiable to the registrant in any way. Every registration is reviewd personaly to insure compliance with this policy. The only identifiable data we collect is the registrant's email address. This information is encryped and kept on our web server.

Because posts on the forum are anonymous, they do not constitute personal data. GDPR requires that when requested by the registrant, we are requiired to 1) export the registrant's data, 2) delete the registrant's data, or 3) send the exported data to the registrant or a third party. In the case of the forum, these requests will include the username and email address only. In the event a registrant wishes to have their data deleted, their username will be removed from any posts they have made and replaced with an generic username.

After May 25, 2018, anyone requesting a download, newsletter subscription, or other form of registration must explicitly consent to receiving information or offers from Whole Woman.
